Tickets and Christmas Cards Heading Home Today

Hello,

All of the students who submitted a written request for movie tickets received them today, inside a Christmas card. Please let me know if you did not receive your tickets, otherwise, I look forward to seeing many of you next Wednesday morning. One student was not here today and I will give him his tickets and card when he returns to school tomorrow. Any students who are not attending the movie, will receive their Christmas card tomorrow as well.

This morning, we continued to work on making our own Venn Diagrams, tally charts and pictographs, based on Christmas-related questions. We will finish this work tomorrow. So far in this unit, I have handed out five activity sheets. If the students complete this work tonight, I will correct it over the holiday. If needed, students can finish this work over the Christmas break and I will correct it when we get back in January.

Next, we had an Advent Liturgy and discussion with all of the Grade 3 students in the learning commons. Then we practised "Can't Stop These Shoes" with Mrs. Zulpo's class.

A final reminder, that if you want to see a great performance by the Grade 3 students, we will be singing "Can't Stop These Shoes" in the learning commons with Mrs. Zulpo's class and dancing to "Jingle Bell Rock" in the gym with all of the Grade Threes this Friday. The performances will begin at 11 a.m. and we hope that many of you can make it.

Lastly, this afternoon, we watched and participated in the news show. Many students showcased their talents, including members of our class who participated with the choir. Everyone involved did a great job.

Also, I wanted to give a heartfelt thanks to everyone who brought in such generous gifts and kind notes. They were not at all necessary, but much appreciated. Thanks so much!

Have a great night!

Mr. Skinner
